4.6 Inspection of packaging. The preservation, packing, and marking shall be
examined and tested to determine compliance with Quality Assurance Provision of
MIL-C-3580.

5.1 preservation, packing, and marking. The pile-driver leads, catwalks,
adapter plates, and technical publications shall be preserved, packed, and
marked in accordance with MIL-C-3580, either boxed or unboxed as specified (see
6.2). The level of preservation and packing shall be level A, B, or C, as speci-
fied (see 6.2).

6.1 Intended use. The pile-driver lead and catwalk assembly is intended to
be used in conjunction with drop hammers weighing up to 300 pounds, and with
diesel hammers weighing up to 12,000 pounds.
Procurement documents should specify the following:

acquisition documents regarding arrangements for examinations, tests, and
